The first day of the rest of my life and living it with gratitude!

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity.... It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events."
Today is the first day of the rest of my life! In the end there will be no regrets. I am living true to whom I am. I've always tried to go forward without regret without dwelling on the past or questioning it and once again I intend on moving forward. The past isn't forgotten-not at all! I just hold it in a special place in my heart. A big part of who I am today comes from all of those experiences; the good, the bad, the pain, the joy, the fears and accomplishments. Really I'm a great big package filled with gratitude!

I've learned that saying goodbye€ can be a gift in life! Even with all the g'byes in my life I am learning to accept these g'bye eloquently; I've had to say g'bye to some rewarding great jobs in my life. Said g'bye to a few good friends and family whom have moved away. The passing away of some truly loveable family members one being my dad. The hardest is the suicide of two loves in my life one being the father of my girls, and then yet again but probably the biggest heart ache of my life, the one true love I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with. Then there are those few people I loved just as though they were family but whom either I've had to let go out of my life or they chose to cut me out of their life.

I wont say these g'byes didn't effect me, of course they did! Each one made me sad - some g'byes justifiably brought up anger and I mourn(ed) those who have passed on. I know though that no matter if those g'byes were of their choice or not they were suppose to be in my life at those moments. I have always kept my heart open because I believe there is a plan for me... And yes always new opportunities/experiences have presented them-self - YES ALWAYS! All of who and what was in my life was a part of the plan for me at that time, so I have to embrace the g'byes because it just means its time for the next step/journey of the plan for me. It's actually exciting!

So today I start my month of gratitude!
Thankful for the past 12.5yrs that Teddy filled my life with love, laughter, and lots of fun things together, the wonderful stepfather he was to all my children and all he has taught me to overcome and all I've become. His big family I became part of and the good friends and sisters I've gained. So very thankful for all my family and friends who have helped, encouraged, cried & laughed with me this past very difficult year.... Because of all of your help I truly am at peace and I know I am where I should be right now. Thank you!
So from this point on I am thankful for today and going forward with gratitude, because who knows where this journey will take me... But I'm excited to find out!
